The happenings of JLS

Jamie took a few pictures for my blog so I will show you what he is up to:

Well, I actually took this one, but he (or we I guess) now own a forklift. Comes in handy quite often... :)

It is actually for his seed business, which behind this is his seed shed and his pickup with his new Pioneer magnets and the thing behind it--well, I'm not sure what that is, but he got that too.

a little craft for you

I had a wonderful evening with my friend AS. We did a little shopping, met BW for dinner, and then did a little more hilarious shopping at Walmart. Anyway, we stumbled across this craft that MJ taught us about---she had gifted me with these cute little magnets last year. AS found the buttons and the magnetic strips and about 10 minutes after arriving home I had all these:

Just get these supplies:

Then...

unstick the white backing and voila!!

You will have some very cute and stylish magnets.

Now I must go to get rid of Jamie's limousin bull magnets :)

Not that...

Not that bad...

I hear the phrase "Not that..." (you fill in the rest) all the time! For example, I often say "Not that bad..." I am sacrificing this weird picture of me and the fact that these used to be normal earrings for me to give you a good example. I wore these earrings for Valentine's Day to school and a little girl said, "Holy....not that long!!"

In a social skills group I do with 1st graders I get all sorts of giggles, but on Thursday my group consisted of just a little girl and boy. We played a game and when the girl drew a card she started hysterically laughing (in a weird way). The little boy said, "Not that weird!!"

P.S. I wish CJ and HN and I could all still hang out!! :)

TM2 and Devil's Grip

I really got into Teen Mom 2--and Jamie did too.

Last Wednesday I came straight home after Catholic class to rest from my Devil's Grip (a virus that causes severe pain in your chest and back as it works its way down the sternum) only to find out that CC was in Chelsea's Dad's garage!!

She texted "I'm at teen mom's house...!"

To me, this could mean a variety of things so I casually wrote back, "WHAT!!!"

So she wrote, "Yeah!! Be jealous!!"

Now I wasn't casual and said, "Why??? For what?v?" (the error is because I was trying to type fast!)

A girl in her clinical group was her hook up because apparently her boyfriend's mom is married to Chelsea's dad---some people have all the luck. :)

MJ

A wonderful thing about working at an elementary school is that whenever I play sports (mostly basketball) with the kids I am always really good. It helps when you are a good 6 inches taller than the tallest ones. Today I was playing with some rather athletic 4th graders (boys against girls, of course) when one boy said to me "You must have been an all-star back in the day..." This was after a particularly good play on my part so I shrugged and said, "Yeah, somethin' like that." hahahaha

birthdays, birthdays

My sisters are blessed with birthdays on April 4th and April 5th.
Happy Birthday!!!

The overriding joke during their family birthday party was that my brother had this on his hand.

Well he couldn't have written it, so who did? Olivia. I do like the name Olivia, but what!? This is MY brother!! My 12-year-old brother!! Anyway, he said under his breath that if a girl named Kendra had written her name on his hand he would never wash it off...
Luckily, this is just Olivia and I don't have to worry :)

Not your average farm sale.

Last Saturday I experienced my very first farm sale. Jamie is renting the farm from this couple who are retiring so I thought the least I could do was show up and be supportive...

Well....this guy showed up as well.

Please notice he has a mullet.
Anyway, all he wanted was a drink of water because he had been walking all day (at this point it was around 3:30pm). He had been at a party the night before, does not own a cell phone, does not know his parent's phone number because they just got one two weeks prior, and he wanted to get to a town about 20 miles away.

He also brought along this friend.

Who started to get in a fight with the farm dog, Pepper, who strangely looks similar to this strange dog.

After much debate it was decided that I would drive him to this town in Jamie's pickup--under the stipulation that he would be in the back and Joni (Jamie's mom) and another woman would ride along.

This was my view almost the entire trip.

He kept tapping on the window shouting directions to Joni and she would try to mediate between all of us. He directed us to a farm about 10 miles from where we started at so we dropped him off...then we saw him walking again...so we voted, 2-1 pick him back up. He told us that the people he thought lived there moved 3 days before...now we thought he was a time traveler.

In any case, I think he made it home safely and we laughed about it all night.

P.S. I guess that dog just started following him a few miles before he met us, so we took it with us and he left it at the first farm we went to--that did make me sad.

But overall, we thought we did a good deed.
