I might start climbing on the bathroom counter every morning... :)

Most of you are probably way ahead of me and have already seen this, but I stumbled across it on AB's blog yesterday and I love this--so cute and happy :) Now if I could just teach all the kids I see to do this every morning I might be hanging out bored in my office all day...

7:30am book club?? I mean...breakfast club :)

I think MELLO YELLO tasted better when this was the can!!

I arrived at school at 7:32 today (I was running a few minutes late for book club, but I did NOT speed) only to find the room we usually have book club in dark and empty...this is my own fault because I skipped last week where they must have announced no book club this week. Anyway, what's a girl to do being 28 minutes early for work?? Sit in her office and eat buffalo chicken dip and drink Mello Yello :)

This photo and following recipe is from Taste of Home.

If you like buffalo chicken you will most likely LOVE this "Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip"...MJ, AS, and AV enjoyed it last night and I really enjoyed it for breakfast this morning :) I skip the green onions and this whips up VERY quickly!!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce
  • 1 cup ranch salad dressing
  • 3 cans (4-1/2 ounces each) chunk white chicken, drained and shredded
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • Corn or tortilla chips
  • Thinly sliced green onions, optional

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, hot pepper sauce and salad dressing. Stir in chicken.
  • Spread into an ungreased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-22 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with green onions if desired. Serve with chips. Yield: 5 cups.

NaScAr!!!

Okay, someday soon I will redeem myself--but I have quite the eclectic life. There is something that makes Nascar a LOT more interesting--MONEY!!
This is Paul Menard and he is 30 years old (born in August just like me) and has been racing with Nascar since, well I tried to find out--but I don't know so let's say 2003. He drives a Chevrolet, is from Wisconsin, and is sponsored by Peak/Menards--the only one of those things I really like is Menards because I LOVE painting walls pretty colors. Anyway--he is mine because Jamie paid $$ in an auction so root for him!! :)

Jamie purchased this hottie below (I liked his name) Kasey Kahne who is sponsored by Red Bull and drives a Toyota--when Jamie saw the Toyota part he was sad...he prefers Dodge...but in any case...he is hot! and he's 30 years old too--but a few months older than my guy and he's from Washington (the state). Jamie paid $$$ so REALLY root for him :)

We also paid $50 each to get into this lottery where you are matched with a random different driver each week and at the end the person who "hits" the most wins---and I happen to be matched with whoever won yesterday so I got the first hit!! :)

camping in the living room...

Jamie and I do this like deep house cleaning every two weeks where almost every surface/thing is cleaned...even Rex! So this was a productive day--it was nice out and Rex and I walked 2.5 miles (which he did great for his 2nd walk all winter) and then we had our families over for dinner and I knew Rex would be delirious from fatigue by the end of the night. Well, our sheets and duvet cover are freshly washed and Jamie placed Rex on the bed as usual...
***maybe I should quickly explain our bedtime set up: we always pull Rex's kennel with a dog bed on top of it into the bedroom so he can alternate between cuddling with us and sleeping on his bed all night.
Jamie and I brushed our teeth and stepped out of the bathroom to see Rex soaking wet---I think we were all really confused, but long story short Rex must have been too tired to jump off or ring his doorbell and he had an accident...on the bed...and then walked onto his dog bed so these were our sleeping arrangements...

Jamie camped out on the floor with a sleeping bag and blankets and I slept on the couch doing my nails and watching a movie :) Some good things about this:

1. Our down comforter came out of the washing machine great!
2. The wetness did not get to our mattress thanks to an awesome thick mattress pad I had just replaced our old one with a few weeks ago...
3. This did not happen on a school night!

Rex is very precious and we still love him very much!! But if you are interested in getting a dog...this is something you should know...even though their cuteness outweighs their "mistakes."

The worst part was his pooch planet memory foam bed that we gave him for Christmas was REALLY difficult to put back together after washing it!! We should probably just give him and pillow and blanket and let him sleep on the couch all the time! (see above)

we're friends!!

On Saturday night my family+Jamie's parents came over for dinner and hang out time...CC, JS and I made friendship bracelets...

For some reason I LOVE bracelets that once you tie them on they are permanent until you *snip* :)

just as the snow melts...

...there is always more! AND I LOVE IT!!! On Monday we got the best of both worlds...a late start so school started at 10:30am AND we got out at 1:30pm!! No school on Tuesday AND no school on Wednesday...okay, today I think we should have had school, but I guess country roads are blocked (I am so blessed we live on a highway) and I enjoyed sleeping from 11pm-9:45am last night and then taking a two+ hour nap this afternoon--and doing practically nothing... :)
On Monday when we got out early we figured we probably wouldn't have school the next day, or at least a late start so AV and MJ came over for a slumber party. They arrived just as I finished putting the last coat of purple paint on a wall our bedroom, and we ate delicious food and danced (Just Dance 2) the night away :) AS was briefly here as well, but had to leave to get home because well...the roads were actually bad! Pretty soon it was 2:30 and bedtime and in the morning we enjoyed breakfast pizza (homemade) and cinnamon rolls! Anyway, I cleaned a LOT yesterday--even doing all of Jamie's chores to be nice since he still works on snowy days (actually I think he has to work harder) and I did not have to work so maybe that's what tired me out for today...anyway, I LOVE SNOWY and snow DAYS!!

Although these are not snowy day pictures from this week, they are from a few years ago!!
CC and RC playing together in the snow--still the same size, but not often enjoying each other's company :)

The house where I grew up!!

Frosty tree out front :)

And we used to have this dog named (well I can't actually spell her name) Leiss (like Lease). It's a German name since she was a German Shepherd....well she loved snow too!!
